So after a 6 count on both units the lights stay solid?

That could be indicative of a broad spectrum wireless device in play. Do you have a wireless alarm, heating or similar device in the house?

Do you have any older cordless dect phones or routers in use?

Any radio masts or similar?

Hi,  I have the same problem. Subwoofer has no sound but light is solid red. Even after 6 sec push on pair switch light stays solid.  Also when I change channel on main box there is no response from the sub woofer light.  Just stays solid red.  I have turned off all the other bluetooth devices I can think of. Could it be interference from my homeplug devices?
