Hi, I have a  compact sub woofer and never really used as don’t feel the sound quality is great so I’m thinking is it actually not set up properly or is it the actual woofer. I have followed the procedure to set up and have paired it , constant red light shows on the bar and the sub woofer but sound from woofer is really muffled, not clear at all .? Any help would be appreciated

Hi Eileen,

Thanks for signing up to our forum, hopefully I can help.

The sub woofer would only reproduce low frequency/bass sound.

I would not expect speech, for instance to be clear/audible as only the low range is reproduced.

However, can you elaborate a little and let me know which bar you have?

Hi Simon, sorry I missed your call but I am in now for the rest of the day.
It is an M9 sound bar with airSOUND .
So yes it does sound muffled but now you have explained it would not pick up voices I understand . The woofer when set up normal is basically no sound really and so have to put up at max.
Also I have the sound bar under the tv on a shelf the sides and front are free but is this a bad position to put it.
Another thing is should the volume on the tv be up and low on the bar or vice versa. Just thinking of anything that can improve the sound quality .
If you can call again I will be here thanks .

Hi there I’m struggling to connect a multi device setup.

I have an A70 connected to an LG TV via optic cable and the S3 sub paired to the A70 through Bluetooth. This has worked fine for about 2 years with no issues.

I have just bought a dock E30 and want to add that to the mix, so my TV plays through both the A70 & E30 speakers and the S3 sub at the same time. I also want to play music eg Spotify from my phone through the same setup.

I thought it would be a simple case of using Alexa but whatever I try the Alexa cannot find the E30. I can pair to the E30 from other devices eg iPhone 12 and have also Wi-fi connected the E30 to my phone through the Orbitsound app, so I’m pretty sure there is no issue with the E30 device

Have tried all the standard troubleshooting steps - What am I doing wrong?!

Hi Skeletor (thank you for allowing me to type that),

The TV playing to both is not easily done natively, there would also be no real benefit and the downsides would be enormous. However, if you did want to do it wired would be easiest, if its a newer TV that supports wifi then an audiocast m5 on the A70 might work, I personally have never got Wifi audio from a TV to work (usually restricted to the TV's own brand).

Again going via Bluetooth I doubt you can play music through both, Wifi/an audiocast for the A70 is a much better bet.

As for the Alexa we get this one a lot. It's not as intuitive with the Alexa app as it should be.

In essence you need to drill down the device list, basically the Bluetooth device list Alexa "pushes" you to is actually for the phone and not the echo. If you select your echo dot, then devices, then speakers at that point another Bluetooth device list becomes available and you will see the E30 and/or A70 there..
