I am having Bluetooth issues with my A series soundbar

This article will help you if you are having connectivity or signal issues when using Bluetooth with your A Series soundbar.

Poor signal / intermittent sound

Usually a poor Bluetooth connection can be attributed to interference of some kind. Your issue is likely with one of the below:

  • Many mobile devices have one board for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so if the Wi-Fi signal is poor then the device can draw from its Bluetooth chip to try to boost the signal. To test this, try turning off the Wi-Fi on your mobile device.
  • The best way to improve the quality of a Bluetooth connection is to reduce the distance between your Orbitsound product and Bluetooth device. Bluetooth technology generally has a range of about 10 metres without any large objects blocking the signal. Some other wireless connection methods such as Google Chromecast can extend this range.

If you're still having issues with your Bluetooth connection, try the below.

I can't connect to my soundbar

If you are having issues connecting your soundbar with your device, try the below steps:

  1. Remove your soundbar from the Bluetooth list on your device.
  2. Turn your soundbar off and back on again.
  3. Reconnect your device to your soundbar.

If the above steps don't work, try performing the same steps with a different device. If this resolves your issue this indicates that the issue is not with your soundbar.

If you're still having issues with your Bluetooth connection, try the below.

Resetting Bluetooth memory

If all of the above did not work, you can try resetting the Bluetooth memory on your soundbar. Follow the below steps:

  1. Ensure that your soundbar is connected to the electricity mains and is not on standby.
  2. Press and hold the buttons either side of ( and buttons) on your soundbars left front panel for 3 seconds (Figure 1). Note: You must press the buttons at exactly the same time.
  3. Your soundbar will flash and a red light reading SUB will appear on your soundbars front right panel.
  4. Try reconnecting your device to your soundbar.

The Bluetooth memory is now cleared of all devices, including your subwoofer. You will now need to follow the subwoofer pairing procedure to reconnect your subwoofer.
